Hypophosphataemic rickets is also known as sex-linked hypophosphataemia, phosphate diabetes, or vitamin D-resistant rickets. It is an inherited condition in which rickets develops in early life, and is associated with growth retardation and bowing deformities of the legs; it does not respond to vitamin D therapy.
